My name is Rachel Ingvad. On November 1st, 1974 I was born at home in Aberdeen, Scotland to Sanford and Katheryn Miller. As a child I also lived in England, Germany and Massachusetts USA.  For high school I attended High Mowing Waldorf School in New Hampshire, and returned to Boston to study at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. A year after graduating with a BS in biology and honours in art, I drove cross-country  to Sacramento California where, much to my surprise I became not only a professional painter but also a yoga teacher. After ten years there, it was time (spring of 2011 ) to hit the road and see what happens.  After traveling in Europe and North America, spending a lot of time in Ytterjärna, Sweden, and  trying to move to Berlin several times, I returned to Sweden.  Married and happy I am still here and loving it in Ytterjärna 🙂

I am interested in the development of the human being in light of freedom and love. Guided by the principle that there are no spiritual time-outs, I step into my work with passion, conviction,  and the maxim that every human being is on earth to be more amazing and more themselves.  This fuels my teaching whether the subject is monster making, painting, yoga,  or  wisdom.  I am honoured to teach in many different countries, to many different types of groups  to many different ages.  I look forward to working with you so together we can create a comfortable yet inspiring, empowering and dynamic  learning environments and serve the liberation of the human being.

“For one human being to love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation. I hold this to be the highest task for a bond between two people: that each protects the solitude of the other.
This is the miracle that happens every time to those who really love: the more they give, the more they possess.”
Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
