Colour Your Life is a 3-day portrait painting workshop that will take place over the course of one weekend. It is a chance for anyone who has the inclination to explore painting, portraiture and seeing. Through the discipline of classical portraiture and the subsequent questions of self-knowledge, we will refine our ability to see, gain insight and connect to community. This workshop will be taught in English, is open to all levels and we will be using acrylic paints.

Cost for the class is 80 £/person for all 3 days with your own materials

Färga ditt liv är en 3-dagars porträttmåleri-workshop som kommer att äga rum under loppet av en helg. Det är en chans för alla som har lust att utforska måleri, porträtt och seende. Vi låter klassisk porträttkonst föra med sig frågor om självkännedom, förfinar vår förmåga att se, får insikt om oss själva och hur vi är tillsammans i grupp. Denna workshop kommer att ges på engelska och vi kommer att använda akrylfärger.

This workshop is not based on skill level, but is a chance for anyone who has the inclination to explore painting and portraiture to do so. We will not only address the technical side but examine the liberation of freeing what we see on to canvas. Allowing the discipline of classical portraiture to bring with it the ubiquitous questions within any pursuit of self-knowledge, we will refine our ability to see. And then we will show everyone to celebrate. This spectacular opportunity will only be successful with your participation.

Painting the Other: a six week portrait painting workshop
When we look out into the world we trust what we see with our eyes and believe we know reality, yet when we start painting we discover that’s not what appears on the canvas!
This is a six-week evening workshop where we explore perceiving, discovering and painting through creating a portrait of another person. We will look at the human face and its archetypal proportions and common misconceptions, we will learn to turn to our neighbor to improve our sight, and through the work become more familiar with acrylics.
